We are Rotterdam

People have an identity and so does the city. But how do these two influence each other? They both interact with each other and rely on each other, but how can people change the identity of Rotterdam and vice-versa. How do people and Rotterdam interact with each other?

With this research project we answer these questions to then show our findings in the form of an installation existing out of film, animation and sound. We want people to look at their surroundings differently and think about identity in another way. In order to do this we went out into the city, observed, filmed, and photographed our surroundings.

The movement of the city moves the people and the movement of the people, moves the city.
